How it works
- Check your phone. It needs to be unlocked and support eSIM. Check your phone
- Buy and install before you leave. We email you a link. Open it on the phone you’re taking and tap Install on this phone, or scan the QR code from another screen.
- Switch it on when you land. In your SIM settings, use the Battuvo eSIM for mobile data and turn on data roaming for it. Keep roaming off on your home line to avoid your carrier’s fees.
- Need more? Open the same link to add data or days.
Check your own plan first
If your Canadian plan already includes the US, you may not need anything else. A Battuvo eSIM helps when your plan charges a daily fee or limits US data.
Total data or a day pass?
Total-data plans suit lighter use spread over a trip. Day passes give you a set amount of full-speed data every day, then keep you connected at 1 Mbps until the next day.
Questions
Will I get a US phone number?
No. These plans are data only. Calling and messaging apps such as WhatsApp and FaceTime work over the data.
Does a US plan also work in Canada or Mexico?
No. These plans cover the United States only.
Can I share data with my laptop?
Yes. Hotspot is included with these plans.
When should I install it?
Before you leave, while you have Wi-Fi. The plan starts when it first connects to a network in the US, so installing early doesn’t use any days.
